He Peed On My Rug

Your cat may urinate on the rug to claim it as part of his territory especially in households with multiple cats.

Recently i had my friend and her kids visiting her 2 year old boy pooped and she changed his diaper aparently she left him with out a diaper and he peed in my carpet i was very upset who leave a non potty trained kid with out a diaper in somebody else s house she realized he had peed in my carpet and didn t do anything about it. Next morning they leave. Eventually he gets up and pees off our deck into the yard. Sometimes the cat ignores his litter box in favor of urinating on the carpet and his owners wonder what s going on.

If the rug is located in view of a window through which your cat sees other cats outdoors he will urinate on the rug to communicate to these other cats to stay out of his territory. As they re packing up dad tells my wife that he never made it onto the bed last night and passed out on the floor of the room and pissed himself and we should clean the rug.
